TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

TERMS OF PAYEMENT :

We require the total amount of the tour to be paid in full to confirm your booking. Availability can change very quickly between the day you request your tour and the day you confirm it.

For large groups bookings of more than 8 seats, we require an immediate 35% deposit for the booking which is non-refundable if the group is cancelled less than (8) weeks prior to arrival.

 

VALIDITY OF PRICES

All rates quoted are given in Icelandic Krona (ISK). All quotes in Foreign Currency are subject to exchange rate fluctuations up until the day of full and final payment. Prices are guaranteed after full payment has been made.

 

CANCELLATIONS ON BEHALF OF THE CLIENT

 

All cancellations must be made by e-mail. In conformity with business practices within the Icelandic travel industry. DOG SLEDDING ICELAND is obliged to charge cancellation fees to the client as follows:

10% of the price of your tour is non refundable, this percentage reflects our cost of booking & preparing your tour.

30 days up to 14 days prior to departure75% of the total amount refunded

13 days up to 49 hours prior to departure.50% of the total amount refunded

48 hours prior to departure.No refund

Any trip cancelled or interrupted by the client or because of the actions of the client will result in no refund.

 

CANCELLATIONS ON THE BEHALF OF DOG SLEDDING ICELAND

We reserve the right to cancel any trip prior to departure for reasons that may include but are not restricted to unforeseen or unexpected equipment failure, adverse climatic, road conditions or remove individuals where participant(s) do(es) not follow the guides directions including but not restricted to entering underground openings, traversing unsafe terrain, driving rules, time constraint issues or failure to follow your guides instruction prior or during the tour.

We will not be held liable for costs beyond those paid to the company in the event of a cancellation including but not restricted to airfares, other ground transportation, hotels, agents fees or other costs associated with the cancelled tour, closures and other human or natural occurrences beyond DOG SLEDDING ICELANDS’ control.

The Weather :

All Dog sledding tours are weather and condition dependent and we reserve the right to change, re-schedule or cancel tours with your and the dogs safety in mind.

Iceland is and will always be Iceland, the weather changes fast on our northern island and with it conditions change. Our guides are specially trained to deal with changing conditions and their number one priority is to make decisions with your and dogs safety in mind. Please be aware of this and respect your guides authority to do so.

 

If we cancel your trip :

Any trip cancelled by the DOG SLEDDING ICELAND as in the clause above will result in 90% of funds being refunded.

 

To know :

All passengers must be present at the tour location 15 to 20 minutes prior to departure.

The tour will take off on the hour to allow the dogs enough rest in between tours.

Failure to show up on time gives DOG SLEDDING ICELAND  the  right to not allow you to participate in the tour, no refund will be made.

 

Self drivers:

We always recommend a 4×4 vehicle to drive to our tour location. We are not responsible for any wrong instructions given by a third party including GPS or Sat Nav.

 

DOG SLEDDING ICELAND does not assume any responsibility for road/ weather conditions, or driving behaviour, including any events that occur during the drive to our location.

 

POSTPONEMENT

In the event of postponement by the Client received by DOG SLEDDING ICELAND less than thirty days (30) before the start of the tour, an administration fee of 10% of the total amount can be required by DOG SLEDDING ICELAND.

 

LIABILITY

In all arrangements involving third parties DOG SLEDDING ICELAND act only as the agent of the Client and no liability of any kind whatsoever shall be attached to DOG SLEDDING ICELAND in connection with or arising from such arrangement with a third party.

DOG SLEDDING ICELAND  will not be responsible for loss, damage or injury to any person or their property, howsoever caused.

DOG SLEDDING ICELAND cannot be held responsible in any way should adverse weather affect the event, including cancellation.All trips are undertaken on the responsibility of its participants.We do not assume any responsibility for accidents that are caused by its customers or can be traced to their own actions, and involving a third party.

No responsibility is accepted for losses, expenses due to delays, changes of flights, or other services or because of strikes, accidents, sickness, damage, negligence, weather, war, changes in schedules, or other similar causes

 

TRAVEL INSURANCE

As with any and all world travel, we strongly recommend that you buy a travel insurance policy in your home country that covers your cost should you have to cancel on short notice. This kind of travel insurance is not expensive and frequently covers other risks.  In general, travel insurances are a good idea to have when you are on the move in the world.

 

TAXES

Prices given by DOG SLEDDING ICELAND already include taxes.
